Pear Technology was formed in 1995 and has since developed into a leading supplier of digital mapping and crop management software for the farming and rural estate industries.

With our background of supplying complex software to users who are non-IT specialists, we have adapted our mapping and GIS products so that they also meet the requirements of a wider range of users – typical examples being arborists, local councils, building suppliers, marinas, property companies, housing associations, universities and colleges.

Because most of our customers are using digital mapping technology for the first time, we aim to make the transition and on-going use of the software as smooth as possible, so we also offer data supply and map preparation services, backed up by a highly competent and friendly customer support team.

Our philosophy is that our products should be as open as possible so that our customers need not feel locked in to our systems. This also means that data can be exchanged with mainstream “head-office” systems.

We are also happy to work with other software developers who wish to embed mapping functionality into their products.
